Anime: Neon Genesis Evangelion Song: Muse - Thoughts of a Dying Atheist I DID NOT MAKE THIS This AMV was made by Requiett from animemusicvideos.org
As a gen z i wish i found this in the past of my childhood.. but here i am experiencing it as a teen
Si existe una escena perfecta en el anime, es ésta.
I was 11 years old when i got up in the middle of the night, went to the living room, turned on the TV, switched it to Cartoon Network and happened to catch this weird show airing on Adult Swim, right before this scene. It was definitely one of those formative life moments for me
What song is this?
Lol, 10 years ago, flcl gave me my first panty shot
this anime is art.. non-stop, beautiful art.. I'm glad we got FLCL.
"It's just a cartoon" they said
Was she praying to a fallen Angel? (cause of the black wings)
I think this scene here, is the reason I decided to become an Animator when I as a child. I'm still falling off the roof but I'll keep hoping I'm able to float back up to the sky and reach my goals.
15 years already passed since this uploaded, then was aired in 2003 on adult swim for the Unites States 19 years ago... time really flew by quick...
This isn't just my favorite scene in FLCL, this might be my favorite scene of all time from any anime. Mamimi was my first anime girl and I was lucky enough to watch FLCL when I was far too young on adult swim. I caught this episode one night and was enraptured. I feel like a part of me is the way I am today because of this anime. It might be silly but... yeah. The feeling this scene gives me is something else.
This scene in inexplicably chilling
The first time I saw this scene I just started sobbing and I really don't know why but I just felt like this scene was everything all at once. At the time, when I first watched FLCL, it was what I needed to see to help me understand where I was in my life and why I felt all these weird emotions that I didn't want to deal with. This is my favorite scene from FLCL and one of my favorite anime scenes of all time
0:55 one of my favorite moments in any anime
Easy top 5 scenes in this show only ones better imo is the I love you scene (I think I can) Swing the bat (Crazy Sunshine) and the Bridge scene (Bran-new love song)
best scene in anime history
thank you for uploading it, it's a scene I really fell in love with. the composition of this scene is just amazing., especially the moment where the crowd of crows just went flying and canti is just standing there. simply amazing, the art in flcl is so good.
the animation of the cat is fantastic
Since Canti came out of Naota's head (looking like an erection), I think it represents the mind of a child stepping into his puberty. It can be furious, destructive and wild (as red Canti), but it's still pure and innocent, since it's a natural reaction to such a sudden change in how kids perceive the world around them, making them fell confused and lost. Canti can transform into a gigantic cannon, but it's as light as a leaf and as pure as an angel. Just my 2 cents.
This goddamn anime somehow makes me feel nostalgic for being a Japanese teenager, and I've been an American all my life.
I think this is the moment we all realized we weren't watching an ordinary anime.
Kill la kill shares mad similarities with this show
This is the oldest video to ever show up in my recommended by about three whole years.
What is the song's name
The Pillows - Hybrid Rainbow
Paludis thanks
Came from evageeks' recommended AMV list. I was (not) expecting it to be this well made
He's just like Christ in a way, maybe.
no, not really. canti reminds mamimi of tasuku, who she practically worshipped as a god because he saved her life from a fire
Orixa where is your sense of humor?
oh, shit. you’re serious - you really were trying to be funny. how can you fail so spectacularly at humor without any self awareness?
CAN U FEEEEEEEEEEEL!!!
Something about this scene just..... Clicks.... The music, the atmosphere, the sync.. It's one of the very few scenes I keep exclusively coming back to..
captures every single inkling emotion of my teen years when I first saw this.
When people ask what makes me cry
This scene is so amazing...And the song is just so perfect.
He was flying like an angel and he is going to heaven. XD
Canti - "All-right, flight system engaged, and OFF we go--Wait, wait, wait---Upt, yeah. There we go. Do a little spin....and FLY AWAY!"
This Is Op 3
I love Mamimi. Canti is so cute/funny
One of the most powerful scenes I've seen in anime period.
I 100% agree
I don't even know why this scene is so stunning to me. It's just sticks out from any other anime.
it truly is a masterpiece. the song really sticks with me as well!

@Gamer Kuuhaku Hybrid Rainbows, by The Pillows
what is the song that plays in the background
The Pillows - Hybrid Rainbow
zaind boothman thanks so much, i was looking for that song for long time
This brings tears to my eyes
Tears of joy
i love this scene sooooooo much ♥ makes me cry everytime :)
I grew up on the English dub so I have a soft spot for those voice actors. They also do a really good job of changing the cultural jokes so they make sense for an American audience without completely whitewashing the show (a la the "doughnuts" in Pokemon). The Japanese voice actor for Naota kind of bugs me, but other than that, the versions are completely comparable.
Jelly donuts are my favorite!
Best scene in FLCL
I can say who this is the best scene in all the anime, the momment, the music, simple fantastic!!!! FLCL the best anime ever!!! The Pillows a masters of music!!!!! Never Knows the best- Mamimi, FLCL
What's the name of this song in this episode?
hybrid rainbows - the pillows
i'm on this video at 0:12
This scene gives me goose bumps every time I see it. It says so much with it's imagery, tone, and feel.
i love this anime so so much! but i never quite understood it. my opinion is that your not supposed to understand it, your just supposed to make you own opinion on it and just enjoy it.
You don’t need to understand the story to understand the mood and themes. FLCL isn’t about the story, it’s about how it makes you feel.
Tbh there is a very coherent, consistent, clear story....if you dig heavily into the details. There's a little direct exposition in episodes 4, 5, and 6, but if you watch the show over a few times you might pick up on more. I know this is an old comment but I see this sort of thing all the time, even from fans, and it's odd to me because it's very fsr from being nonsensical, it's just complex and subtle
@@intelligenceparadigm4931 Thank you! I've never understood how people could think it had no actual plot.
@@Theevil6ify Yeah I mean.....I actually really dislike some anime and other media that just *don't try for story depth*....Japan Sinks 2020 comes to mind....but I'd argue FLCL goes in the other direction. FLCL is so complex and nuanced and meta-driven that at a glance, without much analysis, it might seem like a random nonsense show. It isn't. It never was. You just have to pay close attention and really consider everything coming together. It's all meaningful and significant, except a few offhand jokes perhaps.... it's just dense in ways most media isn't. Viewers who aren't accustomed to a challenge will not recognize the challenge as easily, that's all.
FLCL had a good english dub
"it's a god!"...lol, this made me laugh
